Description

The Holy City – Aptly named for its many churches and cathedrals – is a 300 plus year old port city. Once considered the cultural center of the New World and today known as one of the most historical cities in North America. Your journey includes a tour of the old walled city’s historic districts including the World-Famous Battery, the 4 corners of Law, Rainbow Row, Docks Street Theatre, and St. Phillips Episcopal Church, are just few of the highlights of the many historical sites in the district.
A complete tour of The Heyward Washington House, its kitchen and grounds, provides you with a step back in time to the Revolutionary Period. (Built in 1772) The House is named for its original owner, Thomas Heyward Jr. (A Signer of the United States Declaration of Independence) and George Washington, who was a guest there in 1791, during his visit after the Revolutionary War.
The Centuries Old Public Market provides exposure to a unique blend of items from sweetgrass baskets to bags of stone ground grits to a variety of unique, one-of-a-kind pieces of art. Your lunch options at the Market are plentiful, from classic southern to international cuisine.
The adventure continues to the City’s Harbor where you will board the Carolina Belle. The City Harbor Tour features everything from Fort Sumter, Fort Moultrie and Fort Johnson, The USS Yorktown, St. Michaels Church, The Battery, filled with its beautiful, vintage Waterfront Homes and much more.
Plus, Dolphins, Dolphins, Dolphins. This relaxing and insightful cruise provides a completely different view of the city and it’s Treasures.
